Hardware Development Lifecycle
Regami Solutions strongly believes in incorporating best practices, processes and development methodologies to ensure that we develop and deploy cutting-edge technology in a rapid as well as robust manner. Our hardware development cycle shall demonstrate our methodical approach to arriving at a field ready hardware solution along with maintenance and Lifecyle management aspects.

Analysis
This is the first stage of our software development cycle where we invest time with our customers to assimilate all relevant information on the solution requirements. In the phase, Regami shall analyze the requirements and arrive at the documentation which consists of all the product requirements to be designed and developed during the project life cycle. This documentation shall be analyzed by the customer from their requirement perspective as well as market requirement perspective before giving the final acknowledgement on the go-ahead.
Planning
Once the analysis phase is completed and we have the customer’s go ahead with the requirements, the system requirements are finalized such as features needed, function needed, end user needs to be satisfied, the capability of the current architecture to handle this, the customization required or the need to have a new system developed and so on. This plan is then shared with the customer.
Designing
Once the development plan is completed and approved by the customers, Regami starts working on the detailed design and documentation. The development architects builds a high level solution plan.
Development
This phase marks the actual development of the hardware design. Once the high level solution plan is approved, the hardware team starts with the schematics, Layout and then Gerber is released. The team shall have regular update meetings with the customer to ensure all are on the same page. Once the Gerber is ready, the design moves to fabrication, then assembly and board bring-up.
Testing and Integration
This phase is to test the boards developed in this cycle. Regami shall bring in its experience QA & Testing team to ensure the boards are tested as per the Acceptance Test Planned that was agreed upon with the customer. Should there any areas of improvement or correction, then the team shall ensure that it is rectified. The boards shall also be shared with the customer for testing at their end. Should the boards need any changes or if the customer wants to introduce any changes, then Regami shall work with the customer on Rev B.
Deployment
This phase shall involve the customer putting the system is put into the production environment and used for their business.
Maintenance
The cyclical nature of Hardware Development Lifecyle acknowledges that the need for change and upgrade is inevitable. This phase shall involve carrying out replacements for outdates hardware components and implementing continuous improvements on regular basis. Regami shall work with the customer closely through the manufacturing phase and ensure all support required.
Evaluation
This phase involves the customer constantly evaluating the solution in the field and absorbing all areas of improvements that can make the solution serve the market better. Regami shall work with the customer to understand various areas of improvement and provide recommendations/solutions that can enable the customers serve their market to the best.
Disposal
This phase marks the end of the cycle which is the disposal or end-of-life of the product. All hardware product goes through this phase because of the need for new technology or non-availability of critical components. In this phase, Regami supports with preservation of relevant data, plan for last manufacturing, solution plan for electrical and mechanical replacements or solution plan for latest solutions.
